| The design layout for the ambulance stations in Franklin County is known as a "satellite system". The ambulances are strategically located to best meet the needs of the county's citizens by being "satellited" around the county.Franklin county is also working on a ambulance to be stationed in carnesville. Franklin County EMS works like a team and each station has a zone to cover just like a baseball player on the field. If one station is busy, the other 2 act as backup for that zone. |

| The 911 Center - "The heart of the county's communications" Located directly in the center of the county across the street from the high school, the county's 911 center is also the location of 2 back up ambulances. During the day the 911 center usually has the staff to man a 4th ambulance if necessary. Our EMS and 911 director Terry Harris, does first-respond to emergency calls that are close to the 911 center if needed. We also have some dispatchers that are EMT's and first responders as well. |
