The Emergency Medical Services has come a long way from it's early days when ambulances went out and picked up patients just to race them to hospital as quickly as possible.  Today, the emphasis is placed on taking the Emergency Room to the patient.

Franklin County EMS uses state of the art equipment including the most advanced heart monitors, pulse oximeters, IV and pharmaceutical equipment, immobilization devices, co2 detection equipment , airway and other miscellaneous medical equipment.

Paramedics are trained in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Trauma Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation,  and many more medical emergiencies . Franklin county strives to maintain some of the states most highly trained paramedics .
