Dear Friends and Business Owners,     Frankie Frech, age 49, needs your help! After undergoing three surgeries and treatment in the year 2000, Frankie became a seven year survivor of a rare form of spinal cancer. Unfortunately, due to an impaired immune system, Frankie contracted an equally rare fungal infection that also settled in her spinal cord area. She has been hospitalized for the last seven months, has undergone three more surgeries, and is not expected to walk again.     Does the name sound familiar? Frankie was born and raised in Mount Greenwood. She attended Mt. Greenwood School, Luther South High School and Northern Illinois University. She moved to Alsip, where she has lived for over 20 years. As a single parent, she provided for and raised her twin boys (now 23 years old - one a Merrionette Park Firefighter and the other a student at Southern Illinois Univ.) |
On Saturday, October 6, 2007, we will be hosting a benefit for Frankie Frech at 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park, IL, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Please consider the ways in which you might be able to help make this benefit possible.
On Frankies behalf, A Future for Frankie is requesting donations of food and drink for the event. We also need business/corporate sponsors that would be willing to donate auction items, raffle prizes, and t-shirt sponsorships.
Please help us to help Frankie. It is a large endeavor - but miracles can happen where there is love. For further information on the benefit event or how to make donations or give your support, please go to www.myspace.com/frankiefrech.
