16. Sarah Elizabeth⁴ GORDON (Alson³, Samuel², Alexander¹)⁽³¹⁾ was born in Forks of Pigeon, Haywood County, North Carolina 25 December 1860. Sarah died 20 April 1930 at 69 years of age. Her body was interred 21 April 1930 in Mountain Page Baptist Church Cemetery, Saluda, NC.

She married Joseph Peace in Henderson County, N.C. (at home of Alson Gordon), 21 September 1886. Joseph was born 15 March 1863. Joseph died 31 May 1949 at 86 years of age. His body was interred 1 June 1949 in Mountain Page Baptist Church Cemetery, Saluda, NC. Joseph died 31 May 1949 at 86 years of age. His body was interred 1 June 1949 in Mountain Page Baptist Church Cemetery, Saluda, NC.

Sarah Elizabeth GORDON and Joseph Peace had the following children:

60 i. Wesley⁵ Peace. His body was interred in a Cemetery near Landurm, South Carolina.

61 ii. Mary Peace. Her body was interred in Mountain Page Baptist Church Cemetery, Saluda, NC.

+ 62 iii. Roxie Peace was born 7 April 1882.

63 iv. Henry A. Peace was born 10 June 1889. Henry died 10 March 1919 at 29 years of age. His body was interred 11 March 1919 in Mountain Page Baptist Church Cemetery, Saluda, NC.

64 v. Dora Peace was born 18 October 1891.

65 vi. Son (never named) Peace was born 1892. Son died 1892. His body was interred 1892 in Mountain Page Baptist Church Cemetery, Saluda, NC.
