| Everywhere you look in our communities, you will see the influence of Girl Scouting. From bulbs planted in front of schools, to clean parks, to nursing home residents who have felt the caring of Girl Scout visitors, our mission of service fosters a sense of responsibility for the world around us.
Girl Scouting is not only about giving, though. It also is about becoming. With the guidance of adult volunteers, girls and young women develop values for living, leadership skills, and goal setting abilities that prepare them to become contributing members of society. Girl Scouting is also about fun, exploration, and adventure. Scouting helps girls to discover passions and abilities, giving them a chance to challenge themselves in a multitude of ways -- whether it's climbing a rock wall, running a holiday gift drive, or teaching a class. Through the guiding words of the Girl Scout Promise and Girl Scout Law, girls involved in the Girl Scout Program strive to be the best they can possibly be, while also enriching those around them. Daisy Girl Scouts (ages 5-6), Brownie Girl Scouts (ages 6-8) Junior Girl Scouts (ages 8-11) Cadette Girl Scouts (ages 11-14) Senior Girl Scouts (ages 14+) The STUDIO 2BSM Program is also an option for girls ages 11-17. |
