Father Gomez was born in Sta. Cruz, Manila. He studied at San Juan de Letran taking up Religion. He was the parish priest of Bacoor, Cavite. He founded the newspaper La Verdad, which in English, means the Truth. He portrayed in it the conditions of his country. He also printed the articles of Father Burgos ang other young talents. He was called filibustero and was executed at Bagumbayan on February 17, 1872.
