Surprise, You Are Not Alone

          Challenges, that is what
              life is made of
          Disappointments, yeah life
              is full of those
          We don't recognize
              the face of our creator
          He can't be the same
              we've been told all along

                  Surprise, when you find out
                      how much you are wrong
                  Surprise, when you find out
                      you are not alone

          Don't be afraid
              when the darkness comes
          For there'll always be light
and it feels like it's home
          You must close your eyes
to feel what is really inside
          And you'll come to see
that in Him we are truly free

                  Surprise, when you reach out
                      and a hand comes along
                  Surprise, when you can see
                      all the way home

          In a distant place
              there will be no grace
          Unless we can find it
              where we are standing
          Everywhere there are people
              who will say
          That they don't belong
              that they are truly alone

                  Surprise, when you cry out,
                      you are not alone
                  Surprise, when you find out
                      how to sing this song

All along, you were thinking it,
              my friend
          That your work is lost
when you get to the end
          Then you think that you
              never looked this far
          In an instant now,
              everything has fallen apart

                  Surprise, I'm telling you,
                      you are not alone
                  Surprise, will you please
                      just come aboard?
