Like a Rock

Like a rock surrounded with water
Like a rock surrounded by sand
Everything else moves around you
But the test of time you stand
If there were a single drop of rain in the heavens
On top of you it would fall
For you are like a flower that blooms in the desert
You even bloom in the fall

Like a child so free and divine
Like a petal so nice to the eye
You not only look good outside
You are even better inside, says I
If the Heavens will ever please take me
I hope to find you, there, inside
For you have opened my eyes to the Angels
You even have given me insight

Francesc Beltran

This poem is dedicated to my sister Esther, for her great support
through the best and the worst.
