Amazed

The sadness on your face was
the worst I'd ever seen, thus
far had never been this bad

And isn't it amazing that
just a few months before what
little thought you gave to me

Even though I loved you then,
what a struggle it has been
to keep all this inside

And at last you seem concerned with
the way I feel for you, if
I could only had known back then 

The look that you gave me was
something I will remember for as
long as I shall breathe

For you at last told me that
I was what you wanted, what
a relief to hear those words

And I shall forever remember you, as
I was standing to pray for mass,
for the angels had finally granted my wish

And the world around us, whatever
it may want, we shall be forever
together you and me, I know
