Millbrook Village is a part of the National
Park Service and for many years the Weaving House was operated by one of
our members - Cordelia. She has recently retired and in honor of her
founding of the Weaving House and her many years of service to Millbrook
Village, Frances Irwin Handweavers, in association with North Country
Spinners, has undertaken to staff the
Weaving House with weavers and spinners
on weekends during the months the Village is open.
There is a small loom available for
kids and adults to weave on to get a first hand feel for what our ancestors
did to provide themselves with cloth for their homes and for themselves.
To know when weavers and spinners will be at the Village contact Sally
at [email protected].
