Tiny
|
Tiny was another rescue dog and he came to us with his "brother", DJ in early 2001 (visit DJ's page to read their story). Tiny wasn't very tiny, as you can see. He was supposed to have been a purebred Chihuahua, but we think he was actually a Chi/Boston Terrier mix and that someone forged the paperwork that was sent in to the AKC (his first owners bought him at a pet store, so it is possible). It didn't matter to us, anyway. We loved him regardless.
Tiny definitely had personality and a real attitude! He could be a real "grumpy old man" sometimes, and other times he was really sweet and mellow. He loved giving "kisses" and would try his hardest to lick all the skin off your face! One thing he did not like, though, was being disturbed while he was sleeping. If he was sleeping on your lap and you wanted to get up, you were out of luck! He could bite hard for only having three teeth!
We lost Tiny suddenly to liver cancer and kidney failure in June 2002. We had no idea that he was sick because he never showed any signs of illness. It was a huge shock to our family, but especially to DJ who was very closely bonded to Tiny. His passing was made more bearable by the fact that his "Daddy" was already waiting for him at the Bridge. Both, I'm sure, are happy to be in one another's company again.
