| Trackstand - Trackstand is one of the main moves in trials and is entirely based on balance. You start off rolling forward slowly a when you fell comfortable lock both brakes and turn the handle bars away from your chocolate foot (strong foot) which should be in front, balance by leaning weight left and right opposite to where you are falling and turn the handlebars in between 100 degree angles. Endo - Endos and very simple and useful to learn because many other move develop from the endo such as 180 pivots and front wheel hopping. All you have to do to do an endo is lock the front brakes and throw your weight forward a little bit so that the bike saddle comes up and touches your arse. 180 Pivot - Start by rolling foward at a slow jogging speed and when ready lock the front and at the same time turn the handlebars in the direction you want to turn then with a sharp twisting movement from the hips. Lift the rear end and twist the bike round. You should have now done a small 180 pivot and with a bit of practice you will soon be able to do them from a stationary posistion. Wheelie - To do a wheelie you need to be able to modulate your back brake, i you cant you will not be able to wheelie very far without landing on you back. Start off by riding at walking pace and when ready pull up the front of the bike and lean back. If the front of the bike drops pedal harder and if the front of the bike goes to high press the brake lightly. Manual - Forward Hop - |
