About

David Mcveigh is committed to expertly presenting your showdog by showing off
his or her best features. He has an enthusiastic and compassionate attitude in the dog world and customizes his techniques to each dog's individual needs.
In addition to showing dogs in the show ring, David is also skilled in preparing dogs for their show-ring. David has assisted many Professional Handlers, such as Larry Clark and Jo-Ann Noffsinger. He prepares each dog for the ring by ensuring that it is clean and groomed appropriately for its breed. In doing this, he focuses on all aspects of the dog, including their teeth, coat, nails, and overall condition. In addition, he proactively makes suggestions to owners regarding how to best prepare their dogs for the show ring, and makes sound recommendations concerning the most appropriate type of show lead, collar, and other
equipment. He also makes sure that the dogs are exercised and condition properly each and everyday, and ensures they all have a proper diet.
In addition to professionally presenting show dogs, David has a long-established tenure in handling dogs in a Junior Showmanship, in which the child's dog handling skills are evaluated. During his career as a Junior, David won many awards including Best Overall at The Alberta Provincials and 3rd at the Canadiam Nationals.

Because of the significant amount of time David takes to build a relationship with each showdog he presents, he limits himself to working with only a few dogs at any given time. This helps to ensure that David establishes the all-important bond between himslef and each individual dog.
When David enters the show ring with a dog that he has evaluated and worked
with, it is an example of the best sort of teamwork--a well-trained dog at one
end of the lead and a dedicated, focused handler.
David would be happy to provide you with an evaluation of your potential
or existing showdog..
