Formally Cucen Kennel we decided to change our name as we entered a new era in our breeding & showing program. "Voss" is German for "fox" and "haus" is German for "house" so we gave it a twist and came up with "Foxhaus".

Bill & Kathy Voss,together we have been breeding & showing Wire Fox Terriers for over 25 years. Bill has been in dogs all his life. His parents had a successful Min.Schnauzer kennel and his dad was an AKC judge of terriers. In high school he decided he wanted a different breed and found Wire Fox Terriers! Eventually he aquired his foundation bitch,Charm (Ch.Evewire Extranice) from Evewire Kennels in Maryland and began Cucen Kennel. For a period we took a break from showing as we were involved with school and soccer activities with our children. Erika is married and lives in Buffalo (with a Fox Terrier-Mario) and Tom is at home and attends a local college. Now that the kids are grown we can devout more time to the dogs.
Where we are:
We live in upstate New York. About 20 mins from Niagara Falls, 30 mins.from Buffalo. We are in the Town of Lewiston a rural area located on the New York Wine Trail. Our house is circa 1830 that we have worked on over the years. We also like to find Antiques and of course, Fox Terrier collectables! We encourage prospective buyers to come visit us and see our dogs. We don't like to ship and perfer if we can meet those that will be getting our Wires. We also hope that you'd like to meet us.You are more than welcome to come to our corner of New York to view the Falls and see the sites! For those interested I am happy to answer questions or send a picture.
Our Goal:
We generally have 1-2 litters a year. Since we do show our dogs- our first priority is to breed for a quality Fox Terrier to compete in the show ring. But we never loose site that our dogs will also become someones pet. We strive to make sure that YOU get the very best pet. We are members of the American Fox Terrier Club, The Wire Fox Terrier Club of Central States and a newly formed club, Lake Effect Fox Terrier Club of WNY. Should you contact us and we do not have any dogs available I will contact fellow breeders to help you. Keep in mind that as hobby-breeders we do not have puppies all the time. You may want to consider an older dog for a companion. Since we are very careful about our breeding program our dogs are healthyand happy. When a puppy leaves our kennel - it will have had it's "puppy" shots,been dewormed and fully weaned. Depending on its age - we may have started house-training & lead training. We provide a Purina Puppy Packet that contains all necessary information on puppies in general and Wire Fox Terriers specifically along with their AKC registration and pedigree. We encourage you to keep in touch and let us know how life with your Wire is going!
