The Shore: where the land meets the sea
One boot sits cradled in sand . . . The other in splashing brine
The Fox stands in perfect indecision
. . . One foot on land . . . The other in the sea . . .
Waiting for the harking call of epic legends in the making
To sway this thirsty traveler to stand or to sail
A jealous mistress, is the sea, she frets and tempers so
A wrathful maiden, she beats her fists upon the rocks
O How can anything be chosen over me?
But the Fox stands steady, a wind pulls across a freckled brow
Toying with the scent of leaves, of deserts, of dragons, of damsels in iron locks
O How can anything be more exciting?
So ships harbour on a nearby dock
Swaying, falling, bobbing in the swell
To the song of seagulls as they flutter and flock
And horse-drawn wagons trod on by
Clipping, clopping, trotting to the dell
To the song of men as they laugh and cry
But the Fox stands in waiting with one foot on land, the other in the sea.
From here that eagar yellow gaze surveys
Waiting for the pull of adventure to sway eagar judgement
From the indesicion of the shore

03 - 25 - 04 : Hi, I bet none of you remember me! I know, I know, it's been a good long while, and I don't bring much. My travels have been tough and I've had to find different seas to sail. 08 - 19 - 03 : I'm Back! Not that anybody really missed me--or probably noticed I was away, but I was! It was a terrible battle! I was typing to some of you from the bow of a sinking ship, the treacherous waves of the raging seas were sloshing up the starboard and port decks, the sails were torn and we thought our only hope was to run aground! Fortunately, from the brute force of Sir Tristan McGregor, the calm and cool intellect of Konnichigawa Mitsukaru, and of coarse, my super powers of coolness, we've saved this vessel from utter destruction! The Blackwind sets sail once more on the vast seas of the Internet and I, Captain "Fox" Dodgers, have returned baring gifts from afar as proof of my perilous quest!
