The Adventures of The Brave Swift Impetuous Male Prologue: The Birth of Chaos!
The adventures, mentioned in the title, began, well, when our protagonist: The Brave Swift Impetuous Male was born. He was eager--so eager, in fact, that he was born from his father's very breath. This, as you might expect, was a great shock to everybody. It had all started when his father was purifying himself, the cold waters of a cave ran from crystalline cascades in the ethereal heavens where he lived. A serious task had been recently been failed. He watched his own breath turn white in the air as he stood in the chill waters letting the impurities of his mind body and soul wash away. This most serious task, was to retrieve his beloved wife from the underworld, but heartbreaking and disturbing circumstances had prevented him from achieving his goal. But as this purification process was occurring, so was the birth of his new son.
His warm and wise breath puffed out before him into a cloud, the moisture condensing from the cold air around it until finally, the protagonist came to be, the Brave Swift Impetuous Male.
But down upon the face of the world, this birth was not quite received so well. The seas tossed and pulled, swaying violently and reeling in the waters from the rivers into them retreating from the land. The winds stirred up masses of dark clouds and broke the branches from the trees, and thick sheets of harsh rain beat down upon the delicate fields eroding away their crops and soil, rendering them useless to men.
This Impetuous, if not just newly born, Protagonist was throwing a godly tantrum, fretting and wailing thundersomely. The truth of the matter was that the young being missed his mother who was trapped in the underworld, which was the reason for his father's purification rituals, which was the reason for our Protagonist's birth, which was the reason for the destruction in the world below.
But up in the loft of the heavens, this birth was not quite received so well either. Bolts of lightening shot fort, the floors rumbled, crumbled, and tumbled in violent quakes. And the noise of the wailing fit was enough to drive even the most even-tempered deity into madness.
Meanwhile, his father had abandoned his task and set to the new project of hushing his enraged son. But with all the love and patience of a good father, he could not calm the bawling child. What could a father do, but take his child out to distract his discomfort.
He carried the child, who could not sit still in his madness for his mother, through the disrupted heavens in hopes of coming across a relative or a friend who could pacify the tantrum.
The whole time, the child was crawling along his father's shoulders and through his sleeves with the playful mischief of a fox. The young but Impetuous Male was already beginning to show his true colours: a stormy silver head of hair and flashy lightening yellow for his striking and wide eyes. But his father, relatives, and friends were soon growing weary of the noise and of their hard work in calming the child who possessed the fury of sea and storm.
Yet, at this time, a pure cascade of wise light poured down across the heavens and through the clouds of the world. It's gentle warmth melted away the dark clouds and dried the lands to normal once more so the crops could grow. This new feminine softness was even enough to soothe the savage temper of the Brave Swift Impetuous newborn, and he quickly fell into slumber. But it was all too late, for it had already been decided that the protagonist, no matter what his intentions had been for his tantrum, was too much for the heavens to take, and he was sentenced to be sent to the netherworld with his mother.
Enter: Antagonist.
Exit: Protagonist.
