"Your aunt is works for who???" I squealed out to my friend Steph over the phone. "My aunt works for 'N Sync and they're really good friends." Steph repeated for the 3rd time for me. "How is it you did not tell me all of this time?" I said looking at her strangely, "Cause my aunt just started working for them and I didn't even find out till a couple of days ago and I was in shock!" Steph said laughing. "Oh my gosh, can you get tickets for us?" I asked excitedly, "Uhmmm I dunno...I'll try but anywayz, there's a huge dinner gathering at the end of this month and 'N Sync's gonna be there. I was wonderin if you'd wanna go?" Steph asked, "Steph do you even have to ask me???" I said hyperventilating, "No, so you're gonna go cause there's only gonna be old boring people there." Steph said sighing, "'N Sync is now suddenly old and boring to you?" I asked laughing, "No! Everyone else except for them." Steph said as she realised what she just said. "We gotta get ready! We gotta go shopping!" I said excitedly, "I know! Let's go to the city tomorrow. Meet you at 'Live' at 12?" Steph asked, "Yup, I can not believe it. I'm gonna meet 'N Sync!!!" I said as I jumped around my room. "I know! I can not believe my mom didn't tell me when she knew all along how much I loved 'N Sync!" Steph said laughing, "I would go on chatting with you girl but I gotta go, dinner's ready." I said sighing, "Yup, so I'll meet you tomorrow?" Steph asked, "Yup. Seeya!" I said as I waited for her to say seeya, "Okay bye!" Steph said as we both hung up the phone. I was way too excited to sleep at all that night!

The next day I woke up at 10a.m, had a shower and got dressed. I was wearing my faded denim skirt which has a split at the front and on both sides, with my black tanktop and my slip ons. "Mom!!! Can you drop me off at the city? Cause we have to go shopping for our new outfit. Steph's aunt works for 'N Sync and they're having a dinner at the end of this month and 'N Sync's gonna be there!" I said to my mom excitedly as I ran down the stairs to the kitchen. "Oh, that's nice honey. Sure I'll drop you off, what time?" my mom asked as she prepared breakfast. "At 12?" I asked as I picked up an apple from the fruit basket, "Sure honey. Be ready at 11:30 though. I know how slow you are." my mom said laughing. "Mom! I'm not slow! I just take my time!" I said whining. "Okay, whatever you say but just be ready early." my mom said. "Okay! I'm gonna go check my e-mail so don't pick up the phone okay?" I said as I ran upstairs to my room. "Okay." my mom replied. I checked my e-mail seeing there is nothing but junk mail so I deleted it and went to call Steph to confirm everything. "Hey Meg, can I speak to Steph?" I asked Steph's sister who picked up the phone, "Hey Ali." Meg said as she handed the phone to Steph. "Hey Ali!" Steph said happily, "Hey Steph, we're still goin today right?" I asked, "Yup. Do you wanna just meet now? Since I know you're ready and I'm ready." Steph asked, "Yeh, okay. Hang on." I said. "Mom! Can you drop me off at the city now?" I yelled out to my mom from my room. "Yeh sure honey!" my mom said. "Yup. Meet ya in 15 minutes?" I said, "Yup. Seeya!" Steph said as we both hung up.

"Steph!!!!!!!!" I said as yelled out to her when I saw her, "Ali!!!" Steph said as she ran up to me. "I'm soooooooooooo excited!!!!!" I said as we stepped into Sportsgirls. "Same!! I can not wait till the end of this month." Steph said as she grabbed every outfit that is a 'maybe'. I looked around and saw the perfect outfit for me. It was a black sparkly backless top and a black leather hipsters. "What do you think?" I asked Steph as I stepped out of the dressing room with that outfit on. "Hmm....I think less clubby more posh dinner. It looks great on you though!" Steph said as she looked at me. "Awww...I might buy this anywayz." I said as I grabbed the outfit and payed for it. "I don't think we're gonna find posh dinner in here." I said after we looked around for about half an hour. "You're right, let's go to Skiva." Steph said as we both walked out towards Skiva. "Oh my gosh! I found the perfect thing!" Steph said from the other side of the shop. "Yeh, what is it?" I asked as I walked towards her. She showed me a pair of black sparkly knee length skirt, with a purple batwing top. "Try it on!" I said after I've seen it. When she came out she looked soo good. "That looks so good. I love the top!!" I said laughing. "Cool! Now let's find your outfit." Steph said as she went back in the fitting room and got out of her outfit. "I think I found the perfect one." I said as I saw a strappy knee length white dress with sparkles all over it. "That is soo it." Steph said when she saw it. "I'mma try it on." I said as I ran to the fitting room. It fitted me perfectly and I felt like a total princess! "You HAVE to buy that one. That looks so good on you." Steph said when she saw me. "Thanks. I'm gonna get it then." I said smiling. "Okay now shoes..." Steph said after we paid for our outfits, "Emporio." I said straight away. "Perfect!" Steph said as she grabbed my arm and pulled me towards Emporio. I decided on a white sparkly strappy stilletos and Steph got exactly the same shoes as me except in black. "We need bags!" I said as we stepped out of the shoe shop with another purchase. "Where should we go....?" Steph said thinking. "What about Pallas?" I said while we were walking. "Dunno...but let's try." Steph said as we went to Pallas. I was right, there were bags there. I decided on a white silk handbag and Steph got a black sparkly handbag. "Woooh, I"m broke." I said as we both sat down on a bench. "Same! My mom's gonna kill me when she sees what I bought and how much it costed." Steph said laughing. "I know, oh my gosh it's 6 already? I gotta go! My mom's meeting me at the parking lot like right now." I said as I looked at my watch. "Oh ok! I'll call you tonight. Seeya!" Steph said as she hugged me. "Yup, seeya." I said hugging her back and then started running towards the parking lot.

"Hi mom! Sorry I'm late." I said as I climbed into the car. "It's okay. What did you buy?" my mom said as she started the car, "2 outfits, shoes and bag." I said sheepishly, "How much did it cost me this time?" my mom sighed, " I dunno but it looked really good!" I said pouting, "Okay okay...your dad is sending us some money anywayz." my mom said as we drove home in silence. When I got home I tried on everything again and was so excited even though the dinner was like a week away. "Steph and I are gonna go to a beauty salon on the day as well." I said to my mom, grandma and sister while we ate dinner (my dad works overseas). "Oh that's nice. I suppose I'm paying for that as well?" my mom laughing. "Yes..." I said smiling. "Then are you gonna wash the dishes tonight?" mom said smiling. "Yeh, okay. It's my turn anywayz." I said as I gathered up all the plates and washed it. "Yo Steph, wat up?" I said trying to be a homie (personal joke) when I called Steph up, "Yo wat up my homie G yo!" Steph answered laughing. "Hey! I'm sooo excited and it's like a week away! I can't stop thinking about it!" I said while I got changed into my pj's. "I know! I can't wait! I'm gonna love the beauty salon." Steph said excitedly, "Tell me about it. I need some pampering." I said laughing. "Well I gotta go, sister needs phone urgently." Steph said sighing. "Okay talk to you soon. Seeya!" I said as we both hung up. I got into bed and turned one my CD player. 'I can't wait till the dinner...' I thought to myself as I drifted off to sleep.
