| HELL NO! As the t-shirt says..."Age & Enthusiasm are no match for Age & Treachery" Seriously, yes, there are a lot of kids a lot younger than I racing in my class. But there are also a lot of guys my age, too. I figure, as long as I'm capable of it, I'm gonna race. What else am I gonna do...play golf? | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

ANYHOW...here's my baby (and me) prepped for next season. I've done a LOT of stuff to it. Thank God for eBay, or I'd be on welfare. I've got a Lonestar +4 axle under it, Lonestar +2 a-arms, Lonestar steel braided brake lines, Works Triple-rate front shocks with resevoirs, Renthal bars, White Brothers cam, port job, ProFlow UNI filter, twist throttle (I grew up riding bikes, remember) DG nerfs, bumper and exhaust, Amp link, custom-grooved Turf Tamers on the rear on Douglas .190s, Carlisle 4Max fronts on Douglas .190s...etc., etc. I even fabricated race-style extended and strengthened footpegs (check them out below). I'll be the first one to admit that I did a lot of trial and error testing when we built the motor. At one time, I had a K&N jet kit in it, but I ended up having to go back to the stock needle to make it run right. The taper of the K&N needle would overload the motor on the top end if it was held open for long. I've been told that very few people truly need a K&N except at high elevations. I've got a 157 main jet |

| in it now, but I may end up with a 160. It pulls like an absolute demon, with an incredible amount of torque. I have a 15 tooth counter gear on it, and am going to experiment with a 16 to try to keep the front end down coming out of the gate. I have run a few 350 & up class races, and actually done pretty well. A few guys on 400EXs even (good-naturedly) accused me of having a Four-Stroke Tech 500cc kit Warrior..."cuz that's too fast too be a regular Warrior." Heeeeheeeeheeee. So how much money do I have in this thing? More than my wife needs to know about...that's all I'm sayin'. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Everybody likes a good jumping shot...I just wish I'd known that a professional photographer was gonna be at practice that night, I'd've worn my race gear. | ![]() |

| That'd be Jason, of Ludicrous Speed Racing fame, scowling at the rear of my quad, post race. I'm pretty sure he recommended taking off the brake rotor to make it go faster. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The footpegs I talked about above...if you ride a Warrior very hard, it's a given fact that you are going to bend the pegs down. There's very little you can do about it. So my machinist buddies and I began experimenting. Eventually, we ended up with what you see (the right side's done the same way). The | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| mounting plates are 3/8 in. thicker, and the pegs themselves are moved back and down on the plates, which required sectioning the shifter. With the pegs mounted up on those 'stalks', it created a weak point...like a giraffe's neck. So this should solve it. And of course, we widened and lengthened them. Of course, all of this would be SO much easier if somebody like Roll Design made pegs for a Warrior like they do for a Banshee. But Nooooo... | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The start is the key to winning...here I'm leading out of the first corner in a 0-350 4 Stroke Class. There's not too many guys can beat me into the first turn, I've even held my own against 250r's. Plus, I just think this is a cool picture...blue, red, yellow...it's like crayons. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
