Interlude

two weeks to fill - where to go? what to do?

The Interlude, in case you were wondering, was a two-week span, from June 13 to June 30, between the time that I left the castle and the time my friend arrived and we started our tour around Europe. About half of that time I spent in Scotland - I couldn't go all the way to England, and see most of the rest of Europe, and not see Scotland! Then I spent a few days in Riga. Not nearly long enough, but again I couldn't get so close and not spend at least a bit of time in the fatherland. And the remainder of the time, I imposed on the hospitality of a cousin and her husband who were living in Lewes, not far from the castle.

As a result of my time in Scotland, I have earned the reputation of being a drinker of scotch. That's not really true, but it's my own fault and a clarification is the one story I absolutely had to provide. And I'm slowly starting to add other stories, so check back... umm... well, more than once a month. :)
