One interesting thing from last Sunday: on 880, suddenly a cop car came onto the freeway and started to weave back and forth across the highway, slow down slow down. We already knew, from a sign, that there was an accident ahead. Then the car stopped everyone. They were pushing the wreck across the freeway. Traffic was maybe stopped for three minutes. Interesting!
Tricare changed doctors on me, so I got myself an appointment in June. Then I should be able to get in one more checkup before I'm 65 and out on the medical street again. I'll miss my nurse practioner Captain, but she's probably been reassigned.
Bernadette and Robert went to Roseville to sign the mortgage papers. I babysat Gareth while they were there. Of course, about 30 minutes before they were to come, I discovered the toilet was backing up (clean, fortunately) and the bathroom was underwater, the front yard had a pond, the kitchen was going to float away... so I was mopping it all up and washing my hands raw before the baby came. It was benign neglect today. I put him in the playroom... he cried till I went in, but I had to get my book first. Then I ignored him while he played. Later I fed him a full container of squash. Then we sat outside waiting for the plumber, and then later I put him into the playpen where he was heading towards a nap till his parents came home.
Disappointingly, they didn't actually get the keys, that will happen next week.
I spent a lot of time browsing Roadside America. Look at Sacramento and the giant chicken. That would have been in my neighborhood. I can't believe we missed the Alien Jerky in Baker last year!
The Reno bug is going to be moved. They don't have the woodpecker in Peoria!
It wasn't just Pelosi. (the CIA fights back. But I thought they WANTED 0bama!!)
Terror Force One cost about $357,000. (the one picture* is nice... but Photoshop also works.)
Thats it? THATS IT??? $325K and all the excitement is for this?I want anti-missile flares and lazers shooting off in all directions, X-Wing and Tie Fighters battling it out in the skies over Gotham, close-ups of Robert Hays and the blow-up auto-pilot flying the plane
We could have at least gotten a good shot by the Hubble Space Telescope with a macro photo setting for this price.
Instapundit: "You know, if someone asked me to go hire a a gay Arabic linguist, I wouldnt know where to start. But the federal government seems to be firing them every time I turn around."

RT @ChadTheElder: Nixon used the "madman theory" to try to bring our enemies (NV) to the table; Obama uses it against Americans.
This is because to him Americans ARE the enemy. I rest my case.
This should make clear Obamas prioritie[s] as President. He couldnt care less about California defaulting or automakers going under, but a $2/hr pay cut for 400,000 union workers is the center of his universe. Id suggest changing Hail to the Chief to Look for the Union Label, but Obama would probably approve it.

We have gone from working together to passing beneath the yoke.

Finally figured out why "The Messiah" dig never stuck to Obama. He's the Aten. Being Messiah implies "self-sacrifice" self for others.

THE BRITS ARE SO SCREWED: Queen's medal of honour scrapped... because it's too Christian for Muslims and Hindus

@VodkaPundit Everyone knows I like making fun of hippies, but I won't pretend it's hard.
Heh. On "torture."
...the torture issue was mostly a political tool designed to cow right-leaning members of the punditocracy by calling them Nazis. Now that its not needed so much, it can be allowed to die.
