Yesterday was fun with Vince and Eric. We'd salted our own caches at the Softball Complex with things we thought Eric would like, and we handed him the GPSr and let him follow the arrow. (We had to go back to the house in between for batteries, though.) Then with a tree-climber in Vince, we had a cache to look for. He must have spent 20 minutes up that tree, and no luck there. Oh, well.

It was getting rainy, so we found our cache of the day and then came home for lunch. In the afternoon we went to the Aerospace museum for the Space exhibit. Both the boys enjoyed it. Eric "built a rocket" and got to sit in a model plane and seemed to enjoy it.

When Vince was little, he climbed on the dishwasher door and broke it. Yesterday he decided the lever you push into the scale to start it was supposed to be pushed down, and yes, he broke it.

Today we went down in the rain to Elk Grove because Bernadette was eager for us to go to the Western Festival. We were late to the parade, but because of the rain we had a good view. The festival had lots of goodies. It would have been more fun in better weather, but it was nice anyway.

We hung out at Bernadette's for awhile, then all went to dinner at Tex Wasabi's with dessert at Leatherby's. Yummy all around.

The cousins got on well. Gareth was extremely interested in Eric. This picture of Eric is a silly, devilish one, and Gareth was taking it all in.
