There are cab making classes on request held at the club rooms. Cabachon (Cabs) is where shapes are made from minerals for making pendants and jewelery items. You are taught to use diamond saws, grinders and how to get a neat shape and smooth finish to your cabochon. |

There are silversmithing classes on Monday nights at 7.30.
Members have made many and varied items of jewelery ranging from the traditional to the nouveaux, and a display is held of their work once a year at the Otago Rock and Mineral Show. |

The Otago Rock and Mineral Club have several active carvers and craftspeople. These people are happy to pass on their experience. There is a carving class on the third Wednesday of the month in the warmer months. |
