Fort Weyr's current policy on Stand Only Candidates is as follows:
Fort Weyr only takes Stand Only Candidates if we do not have enough Candidate possibilities from those that are applying to actually Impress. Once a Stand Only application is returned, the Committee will vote on whether or not they want to accept the applicant as a Stand Only Candidate SHOULD the need arise, rather than voting on whether or not to Interview, as an Interview wouldn't be needed in this case.
Applicants must request the appropriate Search Application, making sure to ask for a MDRA Application if they already have one or more dragonriders on the game. Applicants must also have permission from their area leader(s) and fulfill all the other Search eligibility requirements listed in both the game-wide and Fort Weyr's search policies.
Applicants for Stand Only Candidates should state clearly on the application that they are applying for Stand Only. Any questions on the Search Application that do not apply to Stand Only Candidates should be answered with: N/A - Stand Only. Unfortunately, we won't know until actual IC Search draws nearer if we will be accepting Stand Only candidates. If we decide not to accept Stand Only Candidates or if the Committee has voted not to accept a particular Stand Only applicant, we will contact the applicants. Otherwise, they will be Searched like any other Candidate. |
