| VirtuaPern does allow players to Impress multiple dragonrider alts, also called MDRAs. There is currently no limit on the number of dragonrider alts any player may have EXCEPT that players may only have a maximum of 2 METALLIC dragons. Players interested in applying for another dragonrider alt have two options: They may request an Instarider from the Weyr they seek to join or they may apply for Search and attempt to Impress one of their characters. Players MUST follow the rules listed below as well as the other rules for Impression, Search, and Instariding that both the game and the individual Weyrs may have. Rules for Multiple Dragonrider Alt Impressions #1 Players interested in Impressing a chromatic dragon must wait at least one year after the Impression or acceptance as an Instarider of the most recent dragonrider alt, regardless of the color of the dragon, before applying for either Search or an Instarider. #2 Players interested in Impressing a metallic dragon and who DO NOT already have a dragonrider alt who rides a metallic dragon, must wait at least one year after the Impression or acceptance as an Instarider of the most recent dragonrider alt before applying for either Search or an Instarider. #3 Players interested in Impressing a SECOND metallic dragon must wait at least 2 years from the Impression or acceptance as an Instarider of the most recent dragonrider alt to receive a metallic dragon before applying for Search or an Instarider. PLEASE NOTE: If you currently have a dragonrider alt who rides a gold dragon, you will NOT be allowed to apply for a second gold dragon. #4 Each Weyr may Impress a maximum of 2-3 MDRAs out of the standard 8 PC Impressions. First consideration for Impression will be given to those players who do not already have a dragonrider alt on the game. #5 Intariders are not very common on the game and each Weyr has its own guidelines for accepting Instariders. All players interested in applying for an Instarider are required to follow the above rules as well as any others the Weyrs may have. Exceptions to the rules MAY be made, but only in very particular circumstances and only with the approval of the Weyr's OOC Staff and the Wizard Staff. Rules for Disclosing Dragonrider Alts #1 Any player interested in applying for another dragonrider alt via the Search method will be required to disclose to the Search Committee the approximate number of years since the most recent dragonrider alt's Impression or acceptance as Instarider, and whether or not the dragon was a metallic. #2 Any player interested in applying for another dragonrider alt via the Instarider method will be required to disclose to the Weyr's OOC Staff the approximate number of years since the most recent dragonrider alt's Impression or acceptance as Instarider, and whether or not the dragon was a metallic. #3 Failure to disclose the required information will result in disqualification from Search or, if the deception is not caught until after the new character Impresses or is accepted as Instarider, will result in immediate removal of both the new dragonrider alt and his/her dragon from the game. There will be NO exceptions. Please remember that any information provided by an applicant during Search is considered CONFIDENTIAL and is not to be provided to anyone who is not a member of the current Search Committee. |
