okay. so it took awhile. but here it finally is. former friend web v.3.
gee, hardly worth the wait, huh.
our new EP has been out for a
little while now, and it's been receiving some airplay on college radio
around the country (check out links
to see which stations). we've also been busy exploring other avenues of
"promotion" as well as recording new material already for what
will hopefully be a full-length cd next year.
no shows planned in our immediate future, but that's only because we lack,
uh, personnel.
now go check these out: new bio,
updated discography, Smiling
In Treats lyrics, and of course
you must download our mp3s
(free!). and for god's sake, WRITE
US.

hi.
long time, no speak. busy. sorry.
we've been working hard all summer, and now a new former friend release
is imminent - this time in the more concise form of an EP called Smiling
In Treats. we're getting the cover art printed relatively cheap, quick
and easy this week, and they should be ready to hand out by early october.
yay.
all 6 songs from the EP will be up at our mp3.com
site within the next couple weeks, but feel free to catch up with our
old, crappy stuff there while waiting for our new, crappy stuff.
talk soon. bye.

SHOW!
We don't really play shows, so this is a rare opportunity to come check
out how bad we sound live. Come on, it'll be reeeally funny! But, not
funny-ha-ha; more like... funny-sad.

hee
hee. we got a lot more people that came up to us after the faculty talent
show this year, patting us on the back and asking about future shows.
so, uh, i guess it went well. definitely fun. a great big giant THANK
YOU to Natalie, of the Starcrasher
Hotline, for playing with us! it was so incredibly cool having a bass
and backing vocals, wow.
we're gonna try to play a show sometime in July, so check back soon for
that update.
now go check out our new links
section!

It's
been a month since the last update, & not much has happened except
that WE'REFAMOUSROCKSTARSNOW! Okay, maybe not, but "We Never Said
Hello" was played on Cool 94.3 this past Sunday night. That's right,
a commercial station broadcasting to all of Orange County, Long
Beach, and Riverside. It was strangely exciting. But we've also been busy
sending out our cds to a ton of college radio stations around the country.
In other news, we're getting ready to play a a short set in May at a faculty
talent show for a high school. No additional details, except that we played
this show last year and the non-response was funny. Natalie will be helping
out on bass (yay!), courtesy of the Starcrasher Hotline.
AND we've got a buncha new songs in the works, so we'll be heading back
into the "studio" soon. Go eat meat, ya fuckers. And for god's
sake, send us email! I know you're out there, and we'd love to hear from
you.

so
SHOW!
went okay. the only not okay was not having a bassist, and we played too
loud to compensate, i guess. looky... pictures!

02.27.02
i
was just a little too devastated over michelle kwan's loss at the
olympics. why do i like figure skating so much? it's embarrassing. and
it gives me stress. well, onward to bigger and better things: finally
put up ALL the song lyrics to our album here,
and posted a new, exclusive mp3, not available anywhere
else (i am over-using italics to sound more emphatic)! GO DOWNLOAD IT
NOW! it's on our sounds page.

area, i urge you to come watch us humiliate ourselves:
who:
former friend! we're opening for Pip.
when:
Saturday, March 9, 2002. 9 pm.
where:
AAA Electra 99
2821 White Star, unit D
Anaheim, CA92831
ph: 714.666.1805
how:
$5 for a rompin' good time with 3(!) bands.
why:
because Richard tricked us.

02.06.02
the Flash version of our wesite is no more. It was too difficult to update.
This new version will be a lot easier. The trade off is that it's fuckin'
ugly because I don't know enough about Dreamweaver and html to make everything
look right. Old, non-updated Flash version can still be seen here
for you curious folk.
How
exciting. Our new debut album is out now. Want a copy? Check out our sounds
page for more info and mp3s. Since the cd is finally finished, we're trying
to get some rehearsal time in to play live again. Wanna be our bass player?
Please?
