Marcie Evans- I wanted to do tiles that would mean something personally- the eye of the zebra- untamed but gentle,  a flower from the job that changed my life and gave me a lasting friendship, and a crab for my small  waterside community that pulled together after hurricane Isabel.  Visit my website at:

Nancy Jackson "I have been working with gourds for about a year and my enthusiasm for this wonderful art form hasn't diminished one bit.  If anything, with each new technique I learn, I become even a bit more excited.  Both of my tiles are woodburned and painted with acrylics.  I'm married with two grown children and 3 grandsons.  Life is good!"

Judy Jagel "I've been gourding for a very short time.  I love the theme for this wall hanging.  Nature is what makes the world go around! With not being very experienced, I decided to do something simple so I did a cardinal, the state bird of Ohio.  I'm hooked on gourding now and hope to participate in many more projects involving them!"
Ardee
Ardee Walter "My favorite object to work with is nature, especially tropical plants and flowers.  I had taken the beauty of nature for granted until I met my husband.  Seeing nature through my husband's eyes has really given me a new life.  The dogwood tile is my first trial in burning, then the sunflower and the butterfly life cycle.  The butterfly life cycle was colored with Pearlescent Liquid Acrylic.  The fern is engraved and carved.  The hibiscus and turtle are engraved and the monstera leaf is engraved and cut out."

Marsha Weaver " I'm from Olympia, WA.  I discovered gourds 'on accident' a little over a year ago--now my back porch is filled with them!  Mt fingers are most happy working with pine needle coiling and I enjoy 'experimenting' with leather dyes--but I am trying to expand my comfort zone!"
Angela Reinhart- "I am an artist, writer and illustrator interested in possible avenues for my work.  This project and 'forgournesssake' has been wonderful, glad to be involved."     af [email protected]

LaVonne
LaVonne "I have a passion for faeries and nature so my first tile is a faerie in the forest with butterflies inlayed with Abalone shell.  My second tile is the view from my patio of my arbor with red bird.  All the birds love the morning glory vines to build their nests."
