Guidelines


MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA


1. All agencies / organizations duly registered with the SEC and licensed or in the
process of being licensed with the DSWD.

2. All NGO�s and other institutions directly working or has direct services to CNSP
(children in need for special protection)

3. Agencies based / operating in Manila, Makati, Mandaluyong and San Juan.

4. For affiliated agencies, must seek and submit Memo / Letter of Affiliation from
mother Agency / Organization

5. No record of human rights / child rights violation


PARTNERSHIP CRITERIA

1. LGU�s (Local Government Units) and NGA�s (National Government Agencies) with
direct services to CNSP

2. Private and Government Organizations and other Institutions, such as schools
and churches, with no direct services to CNSP but is supporting or willing to
support programs and projects for CNSP


REQUIREMENTS FOR ME12:16 AM 8/7/2003MBERSHIP

1. Xerox Copy of the agency�s SEC Registration

2. Xerox Copy of the agency�s DSWD License and Accreditation Papers (for licensed
and accredited)

3. Xerox Copy of the agency�s Letter of Intent / Application for DSWD License
(for agencies without License)

4. Agency Profile

5. Status / Annual Reports of the Past year

6. Embassy accreditation for foreigners involved in children�s programs


ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUES

Membership Fee shall be determined on Consensus by the Officers and shall be presented to the
General Assembly for Ratification.



MEMBERSHIP TENURE

An organization remains to be an active member as long as

� It abides by the policies and provisions of membership prescribed in this manual

� Renew membership by paying annual dues

� It�s membership is not terminated for a cause



MEMBERSHIP DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Payment of Annual Membership Dues

2. Attendance in the regular and special meetings of the network

3. Attendance in meetings, conferences, and other related activities of the Network and
the NCSD

4. Abide with the existing policies and procedures set / prescribed by the Network

5. Advocate children�s issues in behalf of the Network and / or represent the network if
necessary

6. Submission of a copy of quarterly and other needed / requested reports to the Network.



COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP

Members of the NSG committee shall be the following agencies:

1. Agency / NGO represented by the Chairman of the Network

2. Agency / NGO represented by the Head of the Advocacy Committee

3. National Project on Street Children

4. Manila Department of social Welfare

5. DSWD � National capital region

6. DSWD � San Juan

7. DSWD � Makati

8. DSWD � Mandaluyong



ELECTORAL GUIDELINES

1. The election of MWN Officers is held once a year in November

2. Members can be nominated before the NSG Committee and shall be presented to the general
Membership

3. Induction and assumption into office of the elected officers shall be in January of
the following year. Fiscal Year shall be from January 1 � December 31.

4. CRITERIA FOR THE SELECTION OF OFFICERS

A representative of a bonafide member-agency of the network

The above representative has actively participated in the MWN meetings and activities for at
least one (1) year prior to time of election

A Filipino Citizen

Is committed to serve the Network and its constituents as an officer for at least one
(1) year, which is the duration of his/her term

Preferably with the following skills and qualifications:

Moral Integrity

Commitment to CNSP

Strong belief in the Network and its VMG

Skills in communication and leadership

Skill in Conflict Management

Skill in organizational development and management

Chairperson and Vice-chairperson must be the head of their respective agencies

Absentee member can be elected into office. But must have submitted his / her written notice
of acceptance of nomination prior to the day of election to any of the members of the NSG
Committee

No officer may be elected / may serve for more than three (3) consecutive terms of office.
