Getting Started

*Deposit your coin.

Now you are ready to start your journey. You will notice that coin has been given to you by province you are in. It is very important you go straight to the bank or some pleasant person might find his or her way into your pockets. Use the directory to get to the bank. For example, type directory bank 10. Instructions will then show you the way to the bank. Once you're in the bank you will want to go to the teller window and type deposit all you can also your account balance, just type balance. In the bank is also a coin exchange. Please see the section on currency for further information.

*Join the Guild.

Make your way to the Ranger guild by using the directory again. Remember, *Directory Ranger 10. Depending on where you are born you will want to see either Ievia Restaan, Journeywoman of Riverhaven or Kalika Sylvenshade, Guildleader of The Crossing. Once in the guild just type join and the guildleader will then instruct you in what to do. In some instances there may be a statistic you need to train in order to join the guild. You must have 8 strength, 8 stamina, and 8 agility. See my section on training stats for further information.

*Get Outfitted With Weapons and Armor

The last step before you start learning to hunt is to get outfitted. It is important that you realize one of a Rangers best abilities is stealth. Wearing heavy chain or full plate armor greatly hinders this ability. A rangers best friend in early stages of his or her life is leather armor including a mask or helm and gloves. I reccomend you start off with two weapons. Some type of blade and a bow. You may learn more about armors and weapons by going to their sections in this guide. It is understood most new Ranger have very little coin always ask around about weapons or armor. Rangers love to help and will help you get outfitted so utilize this resource. There are also storage areas in some of the guilds and sometimes extra blades, bows, and armor is kept there so be sure to ask.
