I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all the new and returning families at Forestville Military Academy. My name is Ms. Cendi Carr and I am your President for the 2004-2005 school year.

It is truly an honor to be working with teachers and parents who are diligently devoted and committed to working together to promote and provide a quality education for our students.  The Parent Teacher Student Association  is about parents, teachers, students and community leaders coming together in order to enrich our students learning experiences.  We need you to help us Bridge the Gap.

Therefore, I urge all FMA parents to seriously consider volunteering their time and energy to support the activities of the Parent Teachers Student Association (PTSA).  When parents serve as volunteers, they become aware of some of the challenges facing our school system.  Parents can provide more support for school programs, improve home and school communication and have a greater feeling of ownership in their school.  Your  talents, ideas, and support are greatly needed.  I cannot emphasize enough the powerful impact parental involvement has on a childs education.

On behalf of the Parent Teachers Student Association Executive Board and all Committee Chairpersons, we look forward to meeting you and volunteering with you.  If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact us a (301) 817-0400.
