Weed Free Corridors
The Illinois Valley of southwest Oregon is surrounded on three sides by Forest Service lands. Public roads pass through a mossaic of BLM and private lands that contain populations of noxious weeds before they enter the National Forest. Because weeds travel along roadways, Weed-Free Corridors are necessary to protect our public lands from encroaching noxious weeds.

The Weed-Free Corridors Projects
The FAC and the Forest Service Botanist together developed this cooperative program in order to create weed-free corridors leading into Forest Service lands. These road projects benefit the public lands as well as the private property owners along these roadways.
