| SERGEANT, BELGIAN SAS PARA COY, 1943. Although not part of the Commandos, members of the Belgian Independent Parachute Company (see photo left) were drawn from Captain Danloy's Commando Troop. Here is an excellent photograph showing a Belgian SAS Trooper on parade, 1943, wearing the Belgian Flag above British Army jump wings and rank insignia. Many Belgian Commandos were para-trained.
