4 (BELGIAN) TROOP, 10 COMMANDO, WALCHEREN, NOVEMBER 1944. The uniform for members of 10 Commando (all troops) was the green beret with cap badge, Denison smock and blancoed webbing. Notice the toggle rope on the Commando in the foreground. Notice also that the webbing is worn over the shoulder epaulettes to allow quick disposal of equipment in combat.
