Yesterday was a milestone for Forced Heroes, the conclusion of the championship match of our first successful tournament! Gabriel won the third place match over Kenu, but who will the champion be, Samyik or Indigo? More small updates tonight. Yesterday morning more story was added to the Juin Archives. Made some subtle changes to the board colors, trying to gradually make it brighter and give it a color closer to what's on the main page. Initial changes were... bright-- so I opted for a more moderate change. A new item was added to 'New Member Tips,' that should have been added a looong time ago. Watch your spelling and grammar! In an RPG that relies solely on writing for storytelling, proper grammar and spelling is an important step to understanding what's being told. I think I listed it third item from the top, so look for that if you're new or if you're amazingly bored. I'll be leaving on vacation early Saturday morning, so I'm rushing to tie up loose ends before I'm away from the board for about two weeks. Merry Christmas everyone!

Lots of updates ahead! Tonight I began archiving the Juin Saga. I'm about halfway through. If you want a look-see at what I've done so far, check it out (See the Archives). A new rule regarding privileges for certain characters has been added to the rules page. On a related note, the 'Special Characters' page has been created. Click on the link to go to the 'Members' page, and then click on the small link to see the 'Special Characters' page. It's not fully running, but it should be complete by the middle of this week when I don't have school.

Happy Holiday season! I think some holiday decorations are in order, I'll have to make some when I get home (I'm at school right now, haha-- SJSU, Go SPARTANS!!). The tournament is almost complete, we're all just waiting for a few judges to review the semi-final matches so we can move on to the championships! Yes! Finally there! I hope the judges get on it soon so we can be done before anyone leaves on vacation (especially me). Thornet's profile was added to the Member's page, Sanity's profile was updated again, and pictures were added to the profiles for Seriyu and Sardis. The Juin Saga will finally be archived tonight. We're all poised for the tournament to draw to a close and for the Celestial Sphere saga to ring in the new year.

Not much in the way of updates recently. The auto-hit rule has been changed, 'Near Death x2 Power' was recently added as a Class I ability for full-blooded Saiyans. Everything is running smoothly on the board. Two profiles for new members have been added: Drake and Seriyu.

Happy Halloween everyone! I hope you've all brushed and flossed after eating all of that candy. The profiles of Gabriel, Karius, and Sanity have been updated. And the profiles for Sardis and Yumi have been added. I finally put the World Political Map up on the World Map page. Eventually I hope to make it interactive, where you click on a section of the world and it 'zooms in' on the countries in that area. I think the first countries will be Generica, Mangels, and Juin. Check it out, it looks good!

What a busy little bee I've been... it's almost been a month since I last put an update on this news page. It's mostly been small updates lately-- profiles up, updating the brackets-- as I work hard on my college studies. I created a world political map, which I keep forgetting to put online. Probably when I get home from my trip next week. The tournament is going strong, and the matches are getting better and better! Round 2 is halfway over, with matches complete in Brackets 1 and 3. I'm looking forward to an explosive 3rd round match up when Samyik faces Deandes!

The click on the 'Tournament' link to the left to view the brackets and standings for the tournament. Currently, only Brackets 1 and 2 are up, since those are the matches that are going on right now. Brackets 3 and 4 will be unveiled next week, so the links to those won't work yet.

The World Map is finally up on its own page (See the link on the menu to the left). It's a testimony to my inability to multitask. But I think I'll finally take care of the map tonight; I'll add the terrain and the details and what-not. So it won't be so 'lacklustery' for long. Tournament sign-ups are starting!

The profiles for Jhun, Plata, and SkizZ have been added to the Members' page. Bryce and Kenu's profiles have been updated. The Members' page will be cleared of old profiles tomorrow, and the Tournament starts this week. Lot's of new members have been accepted and there's almost as many active members right now as we've ever had, so I'm expecting a good turn-out.

The new layout is here! Just changing the look around here to keep things interesting; I like to do it about once a year. Navigation hasn't changed much though, so finding things is still as easy as ever. The site is dynamic from 800x600 to 1152x864, so it's easily viewed at just about any resolution! It views alright at 640x480, but there might be some unecessary scrolling; 1280x1024 will definitely have some viewing problems. E-mail me via the 'Contact' link and tell me what you think!

Lot's of updates coming up. I'm working on giving us better visuals as we RP, and I'm working on several items simeotaneously. Here's what I'm currently working on: Map of Siggeir Du Nord, World Map, Pictures of the Juin Soldier and Royal Guard, technical descriptions on Juin Technology, and a whole report on the Juin Pocket Dragon. Just trying to give a better viewpoint of the Juins as we finally fight them in open war at the climax of this saga. And dang... that Jynsyng is crazy...

Lot's of updates today! The profiles for Bryce, Omen, and Osirus were added. I've also opened the new 'Juin' section, which includes profiles for the Juin soldier, royal guard, and infiltrator. Pictures for all profiles added tonight will be added on Saturday. It's late right now and I need to sleep. And I'll be out of town until Saturday, so I'll only be able to post and not make updates. How come nobody tells me these things sooner? I had to figure it out on my own. Turns out, on the 'Links' page, if you click on a link, it appears in the frame instead of a new window. But don't worry, it's been fixed now-- I'm surprised I received no complaints. Kenu's profile has been added to the Members page. The Juin Saga is rolling along nicely and everything is running smoothly. 8)

I'm sorry to announce this in the middle of my saga, but I'm going to take a week vacation from RPing. May is the month when all the tests happen; I've already finished with state standardized testing. Within the next week or two, I'll have finals, AP testing, college registration deadlines, and other important dates coming up. To worsen the situation, I'm having wrist problems that make excessive typing painful, and I'm even typing this update with a wrist-supporting glove on. RPing and controlling a saga probably won't make it heal any faster. So I'm going to limit my posting to only weekends, and it won't be much unless things suddenly improve. If you're looking to apply, please continue to do so, although I may not reply right away, I definitely will reply. Sorry for the hold-up, and thank you for bearing with me.

The new points system that was instituted isn't working out on the management level like I planned, and I'm concerned that it's more compex than what's needed. And so, for everyone's convenience, I'm asking once again for prospective members not to send in new profiles. After some quick negotiation, this update will be simpler than the last one and an update shouldn't take more than a week if all goes well. Expect a new QuickFight soon as well. Keep checking back for more updates!

The first profiles under the new points system, for Samyik, Neojiisu, Karius, and Alykoth have been put up on the members page. Alykoth's is still under some slight renovation however because I had to leave for school! It should be completed in the afternoon. The points system itself is still having some kinks worked out, so notices will be given out if some profiles need to be changed. Don't forget, the Members' page will be cleared of all profiles under the old system on February 28, so get them in as fast as you can. New members will be accepted starting February 14, so if you wish to join, check back then. Thank you for your patience.

I will begin accepting applications for the new members as soon as I give the existing members their starting points and they submit their new profiles. The new points system will be enacted within the next few days. The points page was completed tonight. The rules page will be updated tomorrow, and a new Forced Heroes e-mail address will be created. The following night, a new join form will be created and everyone will be asked to resubmit a profile. Current members will be given additional point allowances above that given to new members according to the quality and quantity of their posts; a list will be posted to inform members about how many points they have. I would also like to publicly apologize to Alykoth. While looking for his profile, I wasn't able to find where it went. Sorry about that.

I prepared a number of profiles for putting up on the Members Page. However, I'm going to rearrange the page slightly, so I haven't added them yet. I'm happy to report that the new board is working well and our RPG is expanding more rapidly than ever. However, this also means that some changes will have to be made to keep it running more smoothly. Running an RPG with 13+ members is a little different than running one with only five or six regulars. So in order for everyone to keep track of our progress, I made a little "To Do" List. Please be patient with us, we're under renovation.

Stupid pop-up ads, they're like ugly little flies, except bigger. But I guess since I have no money, I'm just going to have to deal with them for now. Here are some projects I'd like to work on within the next few weeks: a saga page, create archives and designate an archivist, make a new e-mail address for Forced Heroes, and gather some staff around me to help with all that stuff. I would also appreciate some suggestions on how we can make the action move faster, either by adding new rules for battling, setting time limits, designating turns, or what-have-you. Our freestyle RPG ensures a lot of freedom, but it also bogs us down to a crawl somewhat, so I would really appreciate any suggestions on how to make this RPG better.

The new board is up, running, and ready to be used. Unfortunately, it is so like the EZBoard that it's having some of the same problems, but hopefully it'll work well. Happy New Year, everyone! At the request of some members, I'm currently looking for a new board hosting site. ezboard.com has been the most suggested one, and it doesn't look too bad, although it has some quirks and downpoints from an administration standpoint. I'll continue looking for a better board, but until then, we'll be sticking with what we have.
