I was born in Drumheller, Alberta, and started grade 1 in Rosedale, AB. I am proud to say my roots are from Albert Park/Forest Lawn. I grew up on 26th St. S.E., just above the irrigation canal. At that time, it was part of Albert Park, now called Southview. I attended David D Oughton for grade 2 & 3. For grade 4, I was one of the first students in Holy Trinity Catholic School. We started the year in the old church basement, choir loft and community hall.
Father Gunup was the driving force bringing Catholic education to Forest Lawn. It was his devotion and commitment to Catholic education that spurred my passion in this field. His second major project was to add a Junior/Senior High School... Holy Cross. I was in the first grade 7 class and in the last high school graduating class. In 1965 the city of Calgary incorporated Forest Lawn and we became part of Calgary Catholic.
After graduating and becoming a teacher, I returned to Holy Trinity School... surprisingly, once again in grade 4. Other schools in the ward that I taught at were: Bishop Kidd, Holy Family, St. Mark and St. Clement.

I still have friends, family and students in the parish and wards. I understand the concerns of our hard working parents and appreciate their desire for the best education for their children. I can assure you that I am the best candidate to ensure that your children will recieve the best possible Catholic education. I will be proud to serve on your behalf.
