1.任何有效的（未過期的）MCSE可選考試
2.70-219，70-220，70-221三門中來作為核心考試的
3.70-222: Upgrading from Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 to Microsoft Windows 2000
《70-240 升級考試》
1.70-240可以替代4門必考的Windows 2000核心考試（70-210，70-215，70-216，70-217）
2.必須首先通過了3門Windows NT 4.0的考試（70-73，70-67，70-68 ,
70-58），70-240才能有效
3.70-240的考試有效期限到2001年12月31日

各科考試題型(大同小異) --- 單選題及複選題共約, 未遇有動態題目, 但有部份科目有考 Case study.
考試題數 --- 五十多題不等, 其中多為狀況題.
標準分數 (Passing score) --- 自 620-660 不等.
考試時間 --- 150-180 分鐘不等.
