"Elisha Cuthbert (hmm... Elisha Cuthbert...) spoke to BBC Radio 1 (the best radio station in Britain) about her latest film, The Girl Next Door, but also revealed that work has begun on '24' The Game: "I don't know much about it, only that there's a group of people in London that are really cool. They came by the set, they hung out, took a lot of pictures, and talked to me about some things and they're gonna just come up with the story." "They're very early on in the process with the story, characters, ideas. Very (James) Bondish, I think." Damn you Sky One for pinching series 3! Source. There have been rumours for some time, and some wishful thinking for some time before that, but now we have the first official(ish) murmurings. A recent poll on this very site, found that the majority would be in favor. So here's hoping Elisha ain't got her wires crossed, or somebody sneaked on to the set, and spun her some line to impress her (hey now theres a plan).

Congrats to Kiefer Sutherland who won Best Actor in a Drama Series, yesterday at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Here's kiefer's acceptance speech, courtesy of sagawards.com "I am stunned. I got to walk by one of the guys who got me started, Mr. Sean Penn. Thank you. [applause] I want to make this about actors because that's what this evening is about, but I have to thank our writers, because without them we couldn't do this. To Joel, Bob, Michael, Howard, all of the writers on 24 you have given us so much pleasure to deliver the scenes, and your work. Very quickly, I realized I wanted to be an actor, I was about 14, I was watching a performance of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, and somewhere between the first and second act, I forgot my mother was playing Martha and [laughter] I realized how powerful that was. As my interest grew, I started to spend time with her friends, other actors, and I realized that as different as they all were, they were connected by a bond. And there was a freedom in that bond and they became my family and as my career has developed, actors have been my family, and to get this from you, I cannot thank you enough. Thank you very much. It's a true honor. Cheers."

"DRAMA ACTOR -- Peter Krause ("Six Feet Under"), Anthony LaPaglia ("Without a Trace"), Martin Sheen ("The West Wing"), Kiefer Sutherland ("24") and Treat Williams ("Everwood"). Sheen has won twice before as the best president we've never elected while Sutherland as an FBI agent battling world-ending threats is the hardest-working, most battered actor on TV. Sutherland deserves it this time." Sounds as if Kiefer has someone's backing for the SAG Awards. Source.

So roughly a third of us 24 fans have seen the s3 premiere, I hoped you all enjoyed, having watched a video tape, I know I did. The buzz around it on internet news sites is quite amazing, I've got about 4 or 5 articles to post links to. I'd like to comment on them all, but I just don't have time. This article at media guardian, explains the basic story outline, and how this first episode got roughly a third of the audience the show used to get on BBC2, which is still quite respectable. Another article on the same site is more of a review, but the reviewer seems convinced the show is weakening. That article here.
