Convert your friends....
Something I'm very proud of is converting almost all my friends to fans of 24. I've got a 100% success rate (I think), in that, if they see it, there hooked. I did it through some very simple techniques, some of which I tried and perfected when getting my family to watch the show.

I'll start simple and get slightly more complex. The most simple, is merely making sure that all your friends know you watch and are completely hooked on the show. If they happen to come across it while watching TV, there more likely to stop and watch it, even if it's just so they can say they saw it. One of the biggest reason's people watch certain TV porgrammes, is for social interaction.

After you've spread the word, so to speak, next you have to start eliminating reason's why won't watch it. Most of which can be done by simply lending them the show on video or DVD. I did this a massive amount with my series one dvd boxset, which unfortunately is now looking a little worse for wear becuase of it, but it was worth it. Don't worry if you want to keep your boxset in perfect condition, there is a way around it. Which I thought up just before series two started on TV. Record it on video and then you buy the boxset at the end of the series. Not only do you keep your boxset in good condition, but you don't have to wait for the end of the series to lend it to your friends, you can help them catch up, mid series.

Most of the above techniques are quite simple and easy to do. It does get a little harder, but not as much. Once you've got a fair group of converts, you can do a 24 marathon. But not just with you and your fellow fans. Get as many people as possible. Don't just say it's a 24 marathon, link it with some other fun stuff. You could even label it as a party. Because if it's a 'party' (or whatever you want to call it) and people (your fellow 24 fans) are going to be there, you more likely to get more people to come.

All these techniques have variations, depending on circumstances. But generally the key is to get them to watch the show, then let it do the talking.
