The New Faces....
There were/are signs that David Palmer lived, small signs, but signs none the less. The very good Film and TV site internet movie database (also known as IMDB) have a long list of actors who have been in the show. In the list, some actors have dates beside there name (i.e. Leslie Hope (Teri Bauer) 2001 - 2002) showing that there character was now dead, others had one date and a - (i.e. Sarah Wynter (Kate Warner) 2002 - ) showing that there character was still alive, but they were not invovled in the show from the very beginning. Other actors like Kiefer Sutherland have no dates, showing that there character is not dead at that they have been invovled with the show for it's duration. And so I come to my point, Dennis Haysbert is one of the actors who has no dates by his name. This was not a sure sign, but this website is well informed. Looking down the list I see some names I do not recognise, and some charcters I do not recognise. Here's a lowdown of who's new. She's playing a character called Claudia (who that is i'm not sure). We don't have much information on her, but she's just compeleted a film called "Cheer Up", her past work includes 25th Hour and On Line. Playing Nicole Duncan. TV experience includes NYPD Blue, JAG, Babylon 5 and Falcon Crest. This is where these actor details give us some insight, DB is listed as playing Chief of Staff, now assuming that Palmer is alive, which we have strong reason to believe, it seems that Mike Novick has been sacked as Palmer's Chief of Staff just like he said at the end of last series. (Note, I do have a feeling we have not seen the last of Novick). This new chief of staff as yet does not have a name, and that may be for the reason of hiding his identity, and a possible storyline. There has been a rumour doing the rounds that Palmer's new chief will be his younger brother.
