I, Meg Wood, was born to a sea monkey mother in a barn under the sea. I lived there with my family until an evil sea-witch convinced me to go to the surface where I swam to shore and found that I could play guitar and sing along with it. Soon my gills turned to stretch marks and my fin turned into a pair of legs and I made wonderful music that whales would beach themselves just to hear.
Wouldn't that be cool if it actually happened? All except the whale partthat would be sad.
AnywayI was actually born in the USA (that's gotta be a song) in a suburb of Maryland. When I was in kindergarten my teacher said I could be whatever I wanted to be and I told her that I wanted to be a midget. My hopes were dashed when I was told I couldn't be. I resorted to musicand it stuck.
I sang/played (cello and string bass) wherever I could and as often as I could. I put in a lot of time at Barnsley Elementary School, Earl B. Wood Middle School, Mill Creek Parish UMC, and Blake High School participating in various choruses and bands.
Before my senior year, I set out to learn the guitar before I graduated. Through the wonders of friends and the Internet, I played until my fingers bleed. Also that year, I was accepted to Shenandoah University and, after graduation, I enrolled in the Music Education program. Later in my 2nd year, a big rock hit me on the head and I changed my major to Arts Management.
As for my personal life I have a 13-year-old sister who I love more than most things in the world. I have a multitude of diverse friends. And I am generally pretty happy.
And that's me in a nutshell!
Listen to my music. I put a lot of work into it so you can enjoy it. |
