This is my new baby kitty, Homer. (Yes, it's an unfortunate name. I'd like to rename him, but no one can agree on a name, so, it looks like Homer is going to stick). He was rescued, at just a few weeks old, from the Home Depot parking lot. Hence the name. A good friend, and closet FOL :), took him in and nursed him back to health. Recently, she was called out of town on urgent family business and asked me to kittysit ... and as they say, the rest is history. Yes, I fell in love. He is absolutely the cuddliest kitten I have ever met. He loves to cuddle and he is a total people cat. I threw a shindig to celebrate Independence Day, and he was out charming the masses. All the other cats hid. Homie is a Snowshoe, a very sweet tempered, social, and affectionate breed. He starts mewling pitiously if he wakes up and finds himself humanless. The other cats have been surprisingly tolerant, and he is fast making friends with Xena and Minka. Of course, Onyx is nobody's friend. Even the nieces and nephews are afraid of Onyx, but Homie has stood his ground against her on a few occasions and has won a bit of grudging respect. Go Homer!

"Here, let me get that for you. ... Take that, you nefarious cellophane! You will yield to my superior kitty powers!"

Homer helps me unpack my new digital camera.

Always a willing assistant, Homer makes sure my desk is free of small objects.
"Ha ha! I got it! ... er... what is it?"
"Hi Ang, whacha doin? Hey, you got a dangly-thing on that camera..."
"I'm so cute, I can't stand it!"
