PATRIOT S2 5.7ltr LS1 Perimeter Bolt Heads
You can tell perimeter bolts apart from centerbolts by finding the holes on the perimeter where the valve covers are held down by bolts...DUH!
Dual Proprietary springs allow cams with up to .650 lift to be used...Im using a 231/237 .598/.595 cam so I'll be using a good amount of that lift.
This is one of the differences you'll see with some cheaper heads, the combustion chamber not being polished out.  It's really not a huge deal but it does help with fending off hot spots and detonation as well as giving more cfm both intake and exhaust...but for the $1000 i spent ahh who cares.
If you click this picture you can see the intake chamber is a bit rough...its not really that big a deal as this will ultimatly help with atomization of fuel with air leading into the combustion chamber.
Update: I confered with Terry@ patriot a little about the valve seal problems and sent them back for the new ones...IN ADDITION at no extra cost to me polished up the chambers woo hoo! THANKS TERRY
