ICE your cell phone NOW! Paramedics know what ICE means and they look for it immediately.

If you add an entry in the contacts list in your cell phone under ICE, with the name and phone number of the person that the emergency services personnel should call on your behalf, you can save on scene Paramedics and EMTs a lot of time and have your loved ones contacted quickly. It only takes a few moments of your time to do this.

Paramedics and EMTs will turn to a victim's cell phone for clues to that person's identity. You can make their job much easier with this simple idea.

Recognizing a Stroke

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the
effects of a stroke...totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed an getting to the patient within 3 hours which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE

Remember the "3" steps. Read and Learn!

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

1. *Ask the individual to SMILE.

2. *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

3. *Ask the person to SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently) (i.e. . . It is sunny out today)

If he or she has trouble with any of these tasks, call 9-1-1 immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

After discovering that a group of non-medical volunteers could identify facial weakness, arm weakness and speech problems, researchers urged the general public to learn the three
questions. They presented their conclusions at the American Stroke Association's annual meeting last February. Widespread use of this test could result in prompt diagnosis and treatment of the stroke and prevent brain damage.

1. The Shortlist of Serious Medical Symptoms

There’s a shortlist of six symptoms that should immediately send you to the doctor or the emergency room. The list was put forward by Neil Shulman, MD, who is the author of Your Body’s Red Light Warning Signals. He describes hundreds of symptoms in his book that could mean life or death, but these are true “red flags”:

1. Unexplained weight loss. “If you’re on a diet, you’re expecting this to happen,” Shulman says. “But if you’re eating the same way—and now have to adjust your belt a few notches tighter—you could have a serious problem.” Unexpected weight gain can also be a warning, especially with ovarian cancer. “Fluid builds in the abdomen, and women think they’re gaining weight. But if you have been at the same weight range for years, and doing nothing different, see a doctor.”

2. Slurred speech, numbness and/or weakness, and paralysis. You know what this one is—a potential stroke. Rush to the emergency room because quick treatment may save your life as well as prevent brain damage.

3. Black, tarry stools. The food you eat changes stool color, but according to Shulman, black, tarry stools could be the sign of cancer or a bleeding ulcer.

4. A headache with fever and a stiff neck. You may have bacterial meningitis. Quick test: if you can’t put your chin on your chest, you need immediate treatment.

5. A sudden severe headache. If you’re struck out of the blue by a headache that’s worse than any you’ve ever had before, you may have an aneurysm, which is a blood-filled pouch that bulges out from the wall of a brain artery. Get treatment before it breaks—it could save your life.

6. For women: postmenopausal vaginal bleeding. Bleeding after menopause is a symptom of several conditions, including deadly uterine cancer. For men: lump in the testicle. A lump could be a sign of cancer, and the best thing for men to do is to regularly check themselves in the shower.

When you seek treatment or consultation, be firm with physicians about testing and ruling out a potentially life-threatening emergency. “Sometimes you have to make a scene,” Shulman says. “The one person most likely to be concerned about whether you live or not is you.”

The United States is a nation of laws. We live by our laws. But, not any more! We now live by Mexicans in the streets. Our government agencies know the Mexicans are here unlawfully and the law is not enforced. The rule of law concept is now a corny joke.

Once again we are seeing the repeat of the liberal program of activities to gain more control. It is possible to defeat the voting system in this country and you are watching it happen.

Remember New Orleans

No electrical power, or telephone, or cell phone communications available, and no Police, Fire or Medical help for over a week. But, there were bands of criminals roaming the streets in pickup trucks robbing, raping and killing Americans as they pleased. The Police and Military response to this situation was to enforced an order by the Democrat Chief of Police to disarm the honest Americans who were protecting themselves with their guns. All personal guns were to be confiscated, except those guns used by the rich and powerful to protect their lives and property. No receipts or records were created to account for the property confiscated from the honest Americans. Any excuse to demonstrate the Hate Alcohol, Hate Tobacco, and Hate Firearms mindset!

Police Chief (Dem.) who gave the illegal order quit his job.

A Court stayed the order.

Then FEMA management decided to prohibit honest Americans from possessing guns while living in FEMA trailer parks. The constitution means nothing to these people. October 2005, after NRA pressure, FEMA decides to obey the law and lift their gun ban in trailer parks.

Many states are now changing their laws to prohibit a reoccurrence of this travesty in their individual states.

Communist Party USA leader Sam Webb, President Obama is "considering" a radical agenda to nationalize the U.S. financial system, the Federal Reserve Bank, and private industries such as energy and other sectors whose future is "problematic" in private hands, claims the leader of the Communist Party USA.

In a major speech focused on Obama titled "Off and running: Opportunity of a lifetime," CPUSA leader Sam Webb also alleges Obama's administration is considering turning education, childcare, and health care into "no profit zones;" rerouting investment capital from military infrastructure to "green economy" projects and public infrastructure; and waging a "full scale" assault on global warming.

Sam Webb "We now have not simply a friend, but a people's advocate in the White House," declared Webb at a recent speech in Ohio for People's Weekly World Communist newspaper.

"An era of progressive change is within reach, no longer an idle dream. Just look at the new lay of the land: a friend of labor and its allies sits in the White House," Webb proclaimed.

He stated Obama and the "broad coalition that supports him will almost inevitably have to consider – and they already are – the following measures:

Public ownership of the financial system and the elimination of the shadow banking system and exotic derivatives.

Public control of the Federal Reserve Bank.

Counter-crisis spending of a bigger size and scope to invigorate and sustain a full recovery and meet human needs – something that the New Deal never accomplished.

Strengthening of union rights in order to rebalance the power between labor and capital in the economic and political arenas.

Trade agreements that have at their core the protection and advancement of international working class interests.

Equality in conditions of life for racially minorities and women.

Democratic public takeover of the energy complex as well as a readiness to consider the takeover of other basic industries whose future is problematic in private hands.

Turning education, child care, and health care into "no profit" zones.

Rerouting investment capital from unproductive investment (military, finance and so forth) to productive investment in a green economy and public infrastructure.

Changing direction of our nation's foreign policy toward cooperation, disarmament, and diplomacy. We can't have threats, guns and military occupations on the one hand and butter, democracy, goodwill, and peace on the other.

Full scale assault on global warming.

Serious and sustained commitment to assisting the developing countries that are locked in poverty and misery."

Webb lauded Obama's $800-plus billion so-called stimulus package as "a good bill that will ease the pain of this crisis, create jobs, and begin to reflate the economy."

He explained labor unions, which he said were instrumental in Obama's election, must work to keep the White House in check by "exercis[ing] an enormous influence on the political process. Never before has a coalition with such breadth walked on the political stage of our country," he said.

Indeed, in an article just after last November's election titled, "Special Interest or Class Consciousness? How Labor Put Obama in the White House," Political Affairs reported on polling data released that revealed the extent of union support for Obama.

The American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations, or AFL-CIO, sponsored a poll showing union members supported Obama by a 68-30 margin and strongly influenced their family members.

According to the survey, Obama won among white men who are union members by 18 points. Union gun-owners backed Obama by 12 points, while union veterans voted for Obama by a 25-point margin. In the general population, Obama lost these groups by significant margins.
