My first pair of Gouldians. He was a YH PB NB and she was a RH PB NB. I bought this pair from Dobb's pet shop. People who have lived in the Birmingham, AL, area, and who was into finches knew about Dobb's. Nice gouldians. Wish I had them today. |

I thought well heck, the zebras used the cardboard box method over the wicker nest, why shouldn't I give the goulds one of their own. Goulds are not know for their nest building capabilities. But this pair were excellent nest builders. I did not add any grass to their nest. The male brought it all up himself. |

Just another look at the gould pair. They had a nice size to them. |

My first Zebra pair. They did not take to a wicker nest, instead they went to this, a nest box made of cardboard held together by tape. I poked holes, one on each side, through the front and back, to place the perches in. |

Here is a closer look at the silvery fawn hen. Above her is a recessive silver male and to his right is his son. I bred the silver male to a white hen who had a fawn area around the vent. Their only chick was the son in this pic. I think he was one of the most beautiful finches I have ever seen. His body was white with a little silver ticking on the back of his neck, which he took after his dad, and a fawn behind which he took after his mom. |
