Counter-Strike is an online terrorist vs. counter terrorist scenario game. The game is played with rounds. Each round is usually five minutes long. Every round you begin at a spawn site along with all of the people on your team. You begin with only a pistol and a knife because you must purchase your primary weapon using the buy menu. Once you have purchased your primary weapon or replaced your secondary, you search out the other team's players and try to eliminate them. To win a round all of the other team's players must be eliminated. You usually want to stay quiet by holding crouch because when you run you make noise which the other players can use against you. You might also want to hide behind boxes,crates,walls etc. Camping and using your surroundings as protection are two different things. Camping is where you stay hidden in a spot to surprise an enemy. This is not a good thing in Counter-Strike because it is considered cheap shots. Using an awp(Magnum Sniper Rifle) is also considered cheap. If it was was up to me, I would kick and ban all awpers and campers. After you complete a round you restart the round with more money, depending on how many kills you got that round or even if you make it without getting eliminated. In some servers after a certain amount of time the map will change. In others the map will not change. This is all the basics of Counter-Strike. If you have not yet downloaded the game, you should. It is very fun and keeps you entertained when you have nothing to do. Although be warned that is very, very addicting.
