Research
Interests
CFD of coupled heat and fluid flow phenomenon
Buoyancy driven flows in enclosures (stationary , rotating)
Bifurcations and instabilities in buoyancy driven flows
Dynamics of isothermal / non-isothermal flows around stationary / moving immersed bodies
Computing of High Speed (Compressible flows)
Methodology / Tools
Developed FORTRAN codes employing Semi-explicit pressure correction schemes for unsteady incompressible flows employing finite differencediscretization on Cartesian and Body-fitted structured grids
Developed codes for simulating flows around moving immersed bodies employing body-fitted moving grids using layering approach and time varying physical coordinates that are mapped onto fixed computational coordinates
Developed a predictor-corrector Particle Velocity Upwind scheme for the computation of compressible flows
Analysis of complex spatio-temporal data using Proper Orthogonal Decomposition and development of POD-Galerkin low-dimensional models for unsteady flowfields.
Extraction of wave-structures in a multi-dimensional unsteady computational data of fluid flows using Proper Orthogonal Decomposition.
