The Rudder

      The rudder of the aircraft is situated on the vertical stabilizer of the aircraft. The rudder
coordinates turn. The movement of turn is known as yaw. The pilot use the rudder pedals to yaw
the aircraft left and right.


Straight
This diagram shows the position of the rudder before the aircraft yaws.

Yaw Left
This diagram shows the position of the rudder when the aircraft yaws to the left. The red shaded
area on the left side of the rudder pedal is the position where the pilot's feet steps.

Yaw Right
