A Blue Marble
Earth is a marble,
Clear and true,
With clouds of white,
And skies of blue.

Earth is a marble,
With day and night.
It has fast rivers,
dense forests delight.

Earth is a wonder,
With animals in slumber,
With seas of blue
And trees of new.

Earth is splendid,
But how can we know,
When what we focus on are
Warboats that row?
Weapons of fire,
With no dreams or desires
.
Earth was a blue marble,
With crystal-clear skies,
But how come now we have
only hate in our eyes?
Tiger

Slinking, sneaking, stalking softly
The tiger prepares to pounce.
His prey runs away,
He'll hunt the next day
For the prey is exceedingly scarce.

A nearby pool,
He'll make himself cool
For the jungle is quite hot.
He shakes himself dry
Then tries to find some bigger fish to fry.

He catches no fish,
But there will soon be a catch.
The tiger himself looks around.
He sees something,
Bon Appetite.

Without a thought,
He jumps, and the rope comes quite taught
The trappers are coming to see what they've caught.

He is carried away,
Then is stripped the next day
Of all that he has to offer.
The fur, muscle, bone, and meat
All are taken without sorrow.

The trappers make money
And find it quite funny
That they have made it so quick.
They go the next day
In the jungle they'll stay
Until they find some more prey.

Why are they doing this?! The people cry out.
But it will never help the tiger if people just shout.
We need to raise money
Then the trappers won't be very funny
Just as soon as they're caught.
For they cannot stay,
Or the tiger will die and the earth shall be in dismay.
