Joy
There once was a girl
Who walked the earth
Brought joy and peace
To all who saw her
A little angel
Sat on her shoulder
To whisper encouragement
Through her words
Then evil came
From who knows where
They marched and marched
Came near and near
And all the people
Strained their ears
For the girl and angel
They wanted to hear
But the voice of comfort
Never came
For it cant be enjoyed
When darkness reigns
So the people rode
On horses untamed
To be free from the chains
Of grief and pain
Then evil heard
Of the girl of joy
And darkness
Was so sly and cloy
It took away children
Broke their toys
Till the tortured people
Had no choice
The girl and angel
Ran and ran
For evil was now
Chasing them
Darkness surely
Had a plan
For strait ahead
Was a dead end
Evil caught them
And squeezed their necks
It galloped off
And left them dead
But the greatest gift
Was in their death
For when light is least
Hope shines best
Tornado
The Tornado
She comes on raven black wings
Running the world as Queen
Trees and Rivers bow to her
While Animals cower in their holes
She is nothing more than wind gone wrong
Lashing out at the world that hurt her
Pain shadows her every fiber
Revenge lingers in her every thought
Trying to get even with the world
Her hatred makes her blind
She leaves as quickly as she came
Leaving her pain cloned on others
She runs to her crying place
Ashamed
The Tundra at Winter
See,
The cold pale moon
Hanging in the black sky
Vast and round
Like a porthole into a black void
Hear,
The wolves howling
Chanting their hunt song
The snow crunching beneath your feet
As you stumble wearily through the plains
Smell,
The cold and icy slush
The pinesap instantly frozen
The numbness of your face
Just like a kiss from death
Taste,
The snowflakes
That crawl into your mouth
The steam of your breath
As your lungs labor ever on
Feel,
The raging wind
Its thousands of stabbing blades
Cold seeping like poison
Winding in and out to your bones
