| Waiting Shara Slorstad I'm scanning the windows, waiting for you, Someone walked past, could it be!? Nope, it's not you, I'm left waiting again. About to give up, I lay down my head, With a sigh I think to myself "Is mommy ever going to come out and play?" A rustle in the grass behind me forces me to look back. There you are! You leap on me, and tackle me to the ground. "Come on Haze!" You shout as you unclip my chain! We race through the yard until you complain you'r too tired. "But come on! We only just begun to play!" I plea, but you don't seem to understand. So I finally give up, and lay down beside you, you lay your head on my back, and wrap your arms around my neck. I know now, that the waiting is always worth it. |
