This site is dedicated to those wonderful old kickers of yesterday and the men and women who love to restore and run them. The Florida Chapter is made up of about 200 enthusiasts whose desire is to see the preservation of a little piece of American history, not as museum exhibits, but as actual working examples of American ingenuity and spirit at the start of the Industrial Revolution in the United States. Names such as Elto, Indian, and Flambeau conjure up memories of past triumphs and failures. Enjoy our site as we travel back through time together!

Lake Shipp Annual SuperMeet

Winter Haven
SuperMeet hosts: Bob Leduc, Jeff Rieth and Bob Walwork

This is the largest Florida Chapter meet of the year. Over 205 motors were displayed last year, so let's try for 250 this year. This club is about old outboard motors, so let's "BRING THEM" to show, swap or sell.

This meet’s great location on Lake Shipp, one of the “Chain of Lakes”, is wonderful for vintage boating and so is very well attended by AOMCI members from many states as well as our local chapters. Lake Shipp Park has a great boat ramp with ample parking and a nice sandy beach for our boats. As with all parks, there are regulations regarding its use. There have been some changes this year and all motor homes and campers will have to stay in the parking lot. Please contact Bob Walwork
(941-729-5295)
in advance for the new park regulations. The club will provide security at the park on Friday night.

Lunch on Friday is own your own. Lunch will be available on Saturday.

We have a dinner planned for Friday night, November 13, at the Harborside Inn at 7:30pm sharp. Seating is limited so be sure to contact Bob Leduc
(941-720-1090)
or Bob Walwork to make your reservations in advance if you plan to attend. Ordering will be from the menu and an 18% gratuity will be added to your bill as is customary with a large group.

The host motel is the Lake Roy Inn on Cypress Gardens Blvd. Contact them for reservations at (803) 324-6320, and be sure to mention that you are with the AOMCI.

Please bring as many motors to show, swap or sell as you possibly can. Folks come from all over to see our displays, so let’s not disappoint them.

We are all looking forward to a great Florida chapter meet again this year. Hope to see you there..
